Scene Settings Dialog - Materials
The Materials page of the Scene Settings dialog:
Material Naming
- Prefix - A prefix prepended to exported material names.
- "No Material" Name - Name of the default material assigned to objects that have no material. This default material is actually created in the exported material file.
- Include Parent Material in Name - Indicates that child materials (such as those in a multi-subobject material) should include their parent material name in the final exported name. For example, if a multi-subobject material were named 'Parent' and a submaterial were named 'Child', the exported material name would be 'Parent/Child'.
Additional Materials
A list of materials to export in addition to whatever materials are exported with the scene.
Ignore Materials
A list of materials to ignore during the export process. This is useful if you manually create your materials outside of 3DS Max.
Bitmap Export Control
- Copy Bitmaps to Export Directory - Indicates whether the bitmaps referenced by the materials of the exported objects should be copied to the bitmap export directory.
Bitmap Naming
- Prefix - A prefix prepended to exported bitmap names. The prefix is prepended to bitmaps after they have been renamed using Rename Bitmaps or Rename Bitmap Extensions.
Rename Bitmaps
A list of bitmap file names to rename during the export process. Renaming affects any exported materials that reference the bitmaps, as well as the bitmaps themselves if they are copied to the export directory.
Rename Bitmap Extensions
A list of bitmap file extensions to rename during the export process. Renaming affects any exported materials that reference the bitmaps with the extensions, as well as the bitmaps themselves if they are copied to the export directory.
