Scene Settings Dialog - General
The General page of the Scene Settings dialog:
General Settings
- Up Axis - The scene up axis, which can differ from the standard Softimage/XSI up axis.
- Scene Manager - The scene manager that the exported scene uses.
-
Scale - Because Softimage/XSI does not use units, the only difference between these settings is the name of the unit that is exported. In other words, no scaling is performed. Possible settings:
- active - Softimage/XSI generic units.
- meters - Meters.
- kilometers - Kilometers.
- feet - Feet.
- miles - Miles.
- Divided By - Divides the scale setting. For example, if meters is selected and divide by is 10, the scale used when exported the scene will be one-tenth of a meter.
- Export User Data to Separate File - Indicates whether scene, object, and material user data should be written to a separate file during the export process. Normally, user data goes into the exported scene file.
- Ignore Hidden Objects - Indicates whether hidden objects should be ignored during the export process.
Node Naming
- Node/Object Prefix - A prefix prepended to exported node and object names.
- Prefix Node Animations with Node Names - Indicates whether exported node animations should have the node name (which also includes the node name prefix) prepended to the animation name. This is necessary in cases where multiple nodes have the node animations with the same name.
Query Flag Aliases
Query flags are used by applications that depend on Ogre's hit testing methods. Query flag aliases are names for query flags, which makes object flag assignment in Softimage/XSI simpler.
- Export Aliases - Indicates whether the flag names should be exported. This is not required in order for the flags to be exported, but it is often convenient to know the names of the flags.
Visibility Flag Aliases
Visibility flags are used by applications that use Ogre's viewport filtering methods. Visibility flag aliases are names for visibility flags, which makes object flag assignment in Softimage/XSI simpler.
- Export Aliases - Indicates whether the flag names should be exported. This is not required in order for the flags to be exported, but it is often convenient to know the names of the flags.
